RAC Tips

Perform routine maintenance to remove unnecessary CRS logfiles located under $CRS_HOME\log subdirectories.
Logfiles are generated automatically. Old logs should be removed as part of periodic maintenance.
Periodically clean out the $CRS_HOME\log\client directory, otherwise, excessive amounts of logfiles could slow down CRS performance.

Use asmcmd - asm command line utility to manage asm
Oracle database version 10gR2 and higher provide two new options to access and manage Automatic Storage Management (ASM) files and related information
via command line interface - asmcmd and ASM ftp. Note:332180.1 explains use of asmcmd and provides sample Linux shell scripts to demonstrate the
asmcmd in action.

Use diagcollection.pl for CRS diagnostic collections
Located in $ORA_CRS_HOME/bin as part of a default installation.  Supported by My Oracle Support Note:330358.1.
